It is difficult to put into words just how terrifying the potential for state prison is when facing your very first run-in with the law. I was lost, with absolutely no idea what to do. I hired a lawyer, who turned out to be a nightmare, and when I went to replace him, good fortune smiled on me when I found Maas and Russo. I met with Thomas Maas, who did not treat me like a piece of garbage; he treated me with respect, compassion, empathy, and a determination to do all he could to help me. I hired him on the spot, and it was the smartest thing I have probably ever done in my life. He was very communicative throughout the process, explaining things to me clearly and concisely.
